From: Great Houston HUST Alumni Association Steering Committee

We are planning to found "Great Houston HUST Alumni Association"

at the end of May, 2003. The main purposes are to promote the relationship

among the association members, and to promote the exchange in between

the association and our "mother university". If you studied or worked in one

Great Houston HUST Alumni Association Steering Committee

A group of HUST alumni held a brief meeting on April 20, 2003 from 2-3pm in

the Chinese Civic Center on Harwin Street in Houston. The meeting was called by

Jiahuang Ji, Yongjun Chen and attendees also include Qingyi Wei, Yidao Cai,

Peiheng Zhu, Jiahua Yang, Shaohua Hu (late), Miaomou Chen (absent due to the

late check of email notice).

It was decided that the "Great Houston HUST alumni Association" will be founded on

a Saturday at the end of May and a steering committee was formed at the meeting

with the attendees listed above as members. The meeting assigned jobs for each member

in preparation of the upcoming events. We call for more volunteers to join force in

the preparation.

HUSTers please spread the words to anyone you know. We will keep you informed

of any progress, such as exact meeting time and site.
