1. Enhanced features in Alumni Directory
a. Added "Major Division", for people to identify them as former Tongji, Chengjian, or a college/school in HUST that for some reason needs to be seperate (e.g. size is large, like Mechanical Institute).
b. Added a local group (local alumni association), so that one may identify. Also related is that one may optionally limit his/her information to be accessible only by those from the same group using a password. In the future I'll add a feature to build a printed alumni directory for a group directly from the database.
2. Privacy measures in the Alumni Directory
The Alumni Directory contains an automatic system for input and update information, and a searchable data base. Two features were implemented recently in order to better protect users' information (for details please see http://www.hust.org/common/security.html ):
a. email and phone numbers are display as image only.
b. group protection, i.e. a user can limit his/her information to be only viewable/seachable by people from the same group (password protected).
