面对当今学术道德底线的频频失守,是放任还是拯救——评肖方官司

到底肖传国的‘肖氏反射弧’在国际上有多大的影响,最基本的办法就是亲
自做一次可靠并详细的检索,让事实告诉大家究竟如何。我使用ISI Web of
Knowledge 做了以下检索。为了尽量避免疏漏,使用了所有可能的姓名拼写方式。
(注意,使用不同的检索工具,结果会稍有差别,但重要文章可以肯定不会被漏
掉)。截止到目前,9篇被收录 (其中有一篇为德文,3篇为会议摘要,见附
录),时间跨度是1994-2006。所有这9篇,到目前总共被引用22次,其中被他人
(作者中不包括肖本人)引用9次。也就是说,到目前,平均一篇文章被他人引
用1次。具体一点,被引用次数最多的一篇是其1999年的(J. UROL. 162 (3):
936-942 Part 1 SEP 1999),共被引用8次,其中自引4次。如果从其发表后的
第二年算起到现在,平均一年被他人引用不足1次(约为0.6次)!这是何等的概
念!如果不算2006年的这篇文章,不包括德文的1篇以及3篇摘要,我的检索结果
与方舟子的说法是基本吻合的。也与niupi《揭开院士候选人肖传国所谓“国际
公认的肖氏反射弧原理”的神秘面纱》和南泥湾《肖传国教授发表的论文分析和
评论》 [http://www1.bbsland.com/education/messages/293189.html] 的检索
结果基本一致。
这几个可怜的数据让我感到相当意外。谈什么国际影响, 谈什么诺贝尔奖!
当然,这个检索会漏掉一些中文文章,注意这里讨论的是国际声望。即便考虑到
一些可能的遗漏,增加一倍又如何?说肖传国在自吹自擂‘肖氏反射弧’错在哪
呢?之前,我曾以为,作为科学院院士候选人,能呆到最后一轮,总该还可以吧?
申请的是科学院啊?
再联想到‘基因皇后’,‘中国魏’,各种浮夸劣行真是花样频出。当今中
国,科研人员道德水准的下降令人痛心。很多时候,我们看到的是浮躁代替了严
谨,欺诈代替了诚信,本该是高尚的科学却时时背着大大的‘骗’字!
其实,凡是认真做过几年科研的人都会发现,肖传国的工作很普通不过。可
是,肖式的轻狂却让人不寒而栗。一封‘公开信’,我满眼看到的只有两个大字:
‘邪’ 和‘恶’。
不能否认,科学研究鼓励自由探索,鼓励创新,也允许失败。但是,别忘了,
科学最基本的是诚信,靠事实。虚假或不实的夸大可能使一个毫无价值的垃圾工
作大行其道,可能使平庸的工作得到本不该得的资助。这难道不是有意榨取国家
和人民的钱财?
虚夸者们清楚得很,这种行为,要比编造篡改数据,抄袭,剽窃等难于界定,
更多的时候只能依靠个人修养,良心道德。难道仅仅因为只是道德问题,就可以
肆意枉为?科研工作者的学术道德底线究竟还剩下了什么?
面对这些欺诈,有人愤怒,更多的人是容忍,但也有人放纵!我们看到的是,
丑恶仍然时常与权利相连!气愤之余,还是总想说一声,人间正道是沧桑。当下,
在国人茶余饭后谈论新的荣辱观的时候,我们势必要问,此官司在武汉江汉区法
院的判决究竟是在倡荣,还是在倡辱?
当然,官司还远未结束。我想,此案最终判决结果将会在我国学术道德建设
过程中留下历史纪录。说到底,在当今浮燥的科研界,是放任科研人员的道德底
线继续滑落,还是拯救其回升?
