Joining all husters, the new leadership team of HUAAN would like to take the opportunity of holiday seasons of Christmas and New Year to express their deep appreciation and thankfulness to the HUAAN first-term leaders for the wonderful job they have done in the past years.

The former leadership team had Dr. Yang Qing, Dr. Ye Yingyu as co-chairs and Dr. Jiang Hong as the General Secretary. Like everyone of us, they have their jobs and daily family life to keepthem busy. What has been great for them is that they contributed their sharetime to content that we husters want to keep in touch and communicate with each other no mater where we are in the world. Call it the great tradition of the husters, something special of the husters. They had taken the initiative to establishing the HUST ALUMNI ASSOCIATION in NORTH-AMERICA and helped to bringing us closer to each other. The web page they helped to set up and placed on the Internet definitely has made it much easier to access and more enjoyable to read. We are living in an electronic information age that people tend to use E-mail, on-line, chat mode more comfortably than writing with pens and paper.

The new leadership team is fortunate to have a great tradition to carry on and feel greatly challenged to live up to the high expectations of the old team and all husters. To have a good beginning, we choose to be listeners first of all. We would like to know if anyone of us has any ideas or suggestions benefiting the future and growth of the association. We are confident that we will be doing well with the help and support of all husters and the former leadership team.

In the coming years, we look forward to a closer and more constructive relationship with our Alma Mater HUST. We will collect and pass to all husters news from HUST on a more regular basis. We also want to take this opportunity to tell everyone that HUST express great interest in obtaining a copy of our Ph.D. dissertations and publications. Tell us what you think of it.
