"Huatong University" is nothing. It's so sad that the leaders of higher education can propose such a stupid name for a merged university by two well established leading universities. The best choice is to keep the old name but title the school of medicine as Tongji school of medicine. Gain will overweigh lost in the long run for Tongji people.
